DENVER, N.C. (Nov. 13, 2018) – As the 2018 NASCAR season comes to a close this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Mike Harmon Racing will have a different driver piloting the No. 74 for the Ford Ecoboost 300. Tim Viens will once again return to the team to drive the Chevy Camaro with support from Sunshine Plumbing Supply, American Water Heater and RaceDaySponsor.com.
Viens has one start in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) and four NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts. His sole NXS start was at the 1.5-mile Homestead, FL track in 2015 where he started 40th and finished 33rd – driving for Mike Harmon.
“I am very excited to be racing in the No. 74 with Mike Harmon Racing at Homestead for the last race of the season, Viens said. “Mike and myself have worked together for several years and it's a fun way to cap off the season. I would like to thank Sunshine Plumbing Supply, American Water Heater, and RaceDaySponsor.com for coming on board this week to help us out.”
Also on board the No. 74 car is Paws of War. Paws of War is a non-profit organization that provides service dogs & training to veterans that suffer from the emotional effects of war at no cost. Since its inception in 2014, the organization has rescued more than 450 dogs and supported over 100 veterans. Paws of War is funded entirely by private contributions.
“Looking forward to happiness and success for all involved and most importantly the veterans and pets that we can save," stated veteran Jack Hartnett.
